The successful candidate will take pride in their work and ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard.

The ideal candidate will be a conscientious, hard-working, flexible and self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to site management. You will work closely with the Head Teacher and Estates Manager to ensure the effective management, organisation and supervision of all aspects of the school’s premises and health and safety compliance.

Your responsibilities will include site security, health and safety compliance, supervision of cleaning staff and contractors, general maintenance and repairs, and overseeing the day-to-day running of the premises. The role will require flexibility in working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends to support lettings, school events and other activities requiring site access.

Information about the school

Pelham Primary School and Fairford Academy Barnehurst are part of Illuminate Minds Trust, a small and thriving Trust of two schools based in Bexleyheath. The successful candidate will work across both sites, supporting collaboration and consistency in premises management.
