Folkestone St Mary’s Church of England Primary Academy is seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to play a key role in the day-to-day running of our school.

St Mary’s is a thriving and ambitious single academy trust with over 400 pupils, strong community values and a clear vision: that all of God’s children flourish.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing administrative structure, where you will work alongside a second Office Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office. Together, you will oversee key functions including admissions, attendance, statutory returns, purchasing and communication, ensuring that systems are robust, accurate and responsive to the needs of the school.

We are looking for someone who understands that excellent administration underpins excellent education. The successful candidate will bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities, while maintaining a calm and professional presence in a busy school environment.

The role includes responsibility for overseeing administrative systems, supporting safeguarding processes, managing purchasing and ensuring best value for money, coordinating key academic year processes such as pupil admissions and data transitions, and working closely with the wider team to ensure continuity across all office functions.

You will also play an important role in shaping the front-facing experience of the school, ensuring that all communication with parents, visitors and external agencies reflects the values and professionalism of St Mary’s.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong administrative experience and the ability to manage complex processes
  • Is highly organised, adaptable and able to prioritise effectively
  • Can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Is confident using IT systems and managing data
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
  • Is committed to supporting the wider life and priorities of the school

 We can offer:

  • A supportive and collaborative staff team
  • A well-organised and forward-thinking school environment
  • Opportunities to contribute to the development of systems and processes
  • A role that is central to the effective running of the school
  • A strong community ethos rooted in our Christian values

If you are a committed and capable administrator who wants to make a meaningful contribution to a school where every child is valued and supported to flourish, we would love to hear from you.
