At Kings Park School, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued and inspired to achieve their dreams. We are a close-knit specialist provision supporting pupils with additional needs (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and PDA), and we are growing our team of exceptional teachers.

We are seeking a KS1/KS2 Teacher who is passionate about supporting pupils with gaps in learning, particularly in phonics, literacy and core functional skills, and who is committed to helping every child make meaningful progress from their starting points.

WHY JOIN US?

  • Make a genuine difference – supporting pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally

  • Be part of a supportive, creative and forward-thinking team where your strengths are recognised

  • Access high-quality CPD and ongoing training, particularly in SEND, phonics and adaptive teaching

  • Work in a school where kindness, individuality and perseverance underpin everything we do

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons across KS1 and KS2, adapted to meet a wide range of SEND needs

  • Lead and deliver targeted interventions, particularly in phonics, reading, writing and maths, to close gaps in learning

  • Use a range of adaptive teaching strategies to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and experience success

  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using this to inform next steps and refine teaching approaches

  • Support pupils’ emotional regulation, engagement and readiness to learn, recognising behaviour as a form of communication

  • Work closely with the SENCo, teaching assistants and wider team to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach to support

  • Build strong relationships with families and external professionals to support pupil development holistically.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND, particularly those with communication and interaction or SEMH needs

  • Strong understanding of phonics and early reading, and experience delivering effective interventions

  • Ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of needs and abilities

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships

  • A proactive, reflective and flexible approach, with a good sense of humour

  • A strong commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achieving the best outcomes for all pupils

At Kings Park School, our motto is “Inspiring Dreams, Building Bright Futures Together.”

If you share our values and want to make a meaningful difference every single day, we would love to hear from you.
