We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and talented Deputy Director of Music to join our thriving music department within our academy trust.  This is a new and exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher of music to support the strategic leadership and continued development of a vibrant and ambitious music provision.

Working closely with the VIAT Director of Music, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching, developing the music curriculum, and leading a rich programme of extra-curricular music.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about inspiring young people through music and who is committed to encouraging participation and excellence across all key stages.

The successful candidate will be:

  • An excellent classroom practitioner with a strong subject knowledge in music;
  • Passionate about music education and committed to high standards of teaching and learning;
  • Experienced in leading or supporting ensembles, choirs or musical productions;
  • Able to support the development of music provision across the VIAT Trust – both at primary and secondary level;
  • A collaborative team player with strong organisational and communication skills.

Information about the trust

Valley Invicta Academies Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based in Maidstone, Kent. The Trust is a family of primary and secondary schools which work in partnership to provide nothing less than outstanding education for all our young people.
