The Governing Body of St. Saviour's Church of England Junior School are seeking to appoint a Child Protection Officer.

The post is initially for one year and is for eighteen hours per week - probably distributed over three days but this is negotiable.

You will be:

  • Logging, updating and addressing safeguarding concerns 
  • Making Requests for Support to the Front Door Team
  • Attending CiN, CP, ICPCs and core group meetings with social workers and other partners
  • Completing regular update training as a deputy DSL
  • Advising school staff on best practice regarding safeguarding and associated record-keeping

Successful candidates will:

  • Be committed to working within a team to deliver the best possible outcomes for our children
  • Have the people skills to offer support but also challenge stakeholders
  • Have a very good knowledge of safeguarding practice in schools
  • Experience of working in Child Protection / safeguarding in a school, police or local authority
