Mid-Day Meals Supervisors / Catering Assistants (2 Posts Available)

We are excited to be recruiting two Mid-Day Meals Supervisors/Catering Assistants to join our warm, welcoming and very busy catering team. These roles are perfect for someone who enjoys working with children, thrives in a team environment, and wants to make a positive difference to the school day.

Hours: 3 hours per day (15 hours per week)
Terms: Monday–Friday, term time only (38 weeks per year)
Start date: Monday 20th April 2026
Salary: Kent Scheme A, £8,440 p.a. pro rata (£24,513 FTE)

About the Role - As a valued member of our friendly team, you will help ensure the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of our students during their lunch break. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising students in the dining area
  • Supporting positive behaviour and creating a calm, happy lunchtime environment
  • Assisting our Catering Team in the kitchen as needed

We are looking for individuals who bring a positive, caring attitude and who enjoy working with children. If you are reliable, friendly and ready to be part of a supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

Information about the school

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
