Leigh Academy Hugh Christie is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Student Services Manager to join our thriving team. This exciting role focuses on providing exceptional pastoral support to our Sixth Form students, ensuring they are not only academically successful but also emotionally supported as they navigate their final years of secondary education.

As a Student Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Year 12 and Year 13 students within our expanding Post-16 provision. You will be responsible for ensuring students receive the appropriate guidance and support to thrive both academically and personally. This will involve fostering positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and external agencies to create a nurturing environment where students can excel.

Your work will directly contribute to enhancing student attendance and overall well-being, providing a holistic approach that helps students achieve their full potential. You’ll be part of a passionate and supportive pastoral team, working closely with leadership to drive the success and welfare of our students.

The basis of the role is permanent, 37.5 hours per week, Term Time + 2 weeks inset, offering an actual salary of £22,474 - £24,016 per annum (£25,136 - £26,861 full-time equivalent) based on experience. The working hours for this role are 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.

Our Ofsted report from October 2023 confirms that our quality of education, Personal development, leadership and management and sixth form provision are all good. Pupils have a range of opportunities to broaden their experiences. They enjoy the good-quality clubs, trips and visits that the school provides. Pupils develop leadership skills through taking on additional responsibilities. For example, sixth form students apply for roles such as ‘head students’ or ‘house champions’. Many sixth-formers use some of their free periods to support younger pupils’ learning in lessons.
