Part-time Food Technician - March 2026 

Working Pattern: up to 23 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only), with hours worked flexibly over a two week period according to the demands of the school timetable. Therefore one week is likely to have more hours than the other but average 46 hours over the two week period. The successful applicant’s working day will finish around 4pm, currently 3 days per week to allow cleaning time after lessons have finished.

Salary Scale: QEGS 3.1 – 3.3 £24,722 - £25,442 Pro rata salary: (£12,883 – £13,258)

Queen Elizabeth’s is seeking to appoint a hardworking and enthusiastic food technician to join our dynamic and high performing Creative Arts and Technology Faculty. 

Applicants should possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be flexible and reliable.

The successful candidate will be patient with good time management and excellent communication and ICT skills. Experience of catering would be advantageous. Previous experience of working in a school would be helpful but not essential, as training will be provided. A willingness to contribute to other areas of school life would be welcome.
