We are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will be committed, organised, professional, enthusiasticcreative and a solid classroom practitioner; someone who is diligent, resilient and able to take a lead in strengthening teaching and learning across the school and is committed to working in a faith school.

They will play a strong role in embedding and supporting teaching and learning and hold responsibility for a key area of school improvement.

This role will include some class teaching commitment.

 The successful applicant will:

  • Be proactive, positive and lead by example.
  • Have experience of leading whole school areas that have had a clear positive and successful impact.
  • Follow the policies, processes and expectations of the school to meet the needs of the team and pupils.
  • Use expertise, passion and enthusiasm to drive school improvement in a positive manner.
  • Go that extra mile to ensure that every pupil makes excellent progress.
  • Deliver and model consistently good and outstanding practice across the primary phase.
  • Be part of a team to lead and develop the school in striving to attain high standards of pupil achievement, behaviour and social development.
  • Provide guidance and support to other members of staff to achieve and maintain a good quality of teaching and be instrumental in supporting colleagues.
  • Work with the rest of the Senior Leadership team in developing and embedding our values, vision and ethos.
  • Hold an NPQSL qualification or have experience of middle / senior leadership.

Holy Trinity is a diverse and welcoming community. It is a vibrant and purposeful primary school with over 400 pupils. The school is a caring, Christian school at the heart of a thriving community, and lies on the outskirts of Dartford. The school embraces all of the National Curriculum and enjoys the support of Cornerstone Curriculum. The school supports and allows staff to plan exciting real life learning for the children both on and off site. There are fourteen classes with a dedicated team of teaching assistants who provide professional support for the children's learning. The staff team are friendly, supportive and diverse and we enjoy working as a team. The schools last Ofsted inspection was February 2023 where we maintained our Good judgement and our recent SIAMS inspection in January 2025 received an excellent report and we successfully achieved the criteria set out. Governors and the Leadership Team value the continued professional development of all staff, and are committed to supporting the well-being of the school whole community.
