Repton Manor Primary school is seeking a caring, motivated Learning Mentor with a focus on the delivery of Cognition and Learning Interventions to join our supportive and inclusive team.

The successful candidate will work with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis to deliver targeted interventions, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote confidence, independence and inclusion.

The role will involve:

  • Delivering structured cognition and learning interventions on a 1:1 and small-group basis

  • Supporting pupils with difficulties relating to memory, attention, processing, organisation and learning skills

  • Adapting learning tasks and strategies to support access to the curriculum

  • Monitoring, recording and reporting pupil progress against individual targets and support plans

  • Supporting positive engagement, behaviour and independence in line with school policies

  • Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCo and external professionals

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with cognition and learning needs.

  • Communicates clearly and sensitively with pupils and adults

  • Is calm, patient, organised and nurturing

  • Is committed to inclusion and improving outcomes for all learners

Repton Manor Primary School is a mixed-gender foundation primary school for children aged 4 to 11, located at Repton Avenue, Ashford, Kent, TN23 3RX.
