Wrotham Road Primary School is looking to appoint a highly effective Administrative Assistant.

The position is for maternity cover until March 2027, working 14 hours per week Monday and Tuesdays, 8.30am-4.30pm, 39 weeks per year. Kent Scheme B, £25,126 full time equivalent, actual pro rata salary £8,287.33 based on 14 hours per week, 39 weeks per year.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and on paper. They must be reliable and enjoy all aspects of organisational and administrative work. They should be enthusiastic, organised, pro-active and a multi-tasker who is able to provide a wide range of administrative support to the school as a whole.

The ideal candidate will be confident in using a range of admin software including the Office 365 platform and be familiar with or be willing to be trained on the school’s information management system (Arbor).

Due to the scope of the role, the ability to prioritise and remain flexible whilst maintaining excellent service standards is absolutely essential.

 The successful candidate will:

  • have experience of customer service or reception duties, preferably within an education setting
  • have excellent verbal communication skills
  • be able to work independently and within a team
  • have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • have excellent communication and administrative skills
  • be confident in the use of IT with a good working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.
