We are seeking to appoint an organised and proactive part-time Administration Officer to provide key support to our sixth form team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a positive, “can-do” attitude who thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment and enjoys working with young people and colleagues alike.

The successful candidate will join our front office team, providing high-quality administrative support in a lively and demanding setting. You will need to be calm, well organised and confident in prioritising tasks, with the ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team. As a first point of contact for many, you will be a welcoming, professional and approachable presence within the school.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the sixth form team, including managing sixth form attendance
  • Providing efficient and accurate administrative support
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in the front office to support day-to-day operations

Excellent communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of teamwork are essential.

Hours:
25 hours per week, worked over 5 days
Suggested working pattern: 9.15am – 2.45pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Working weeks:
39 weeks per year (term time plus 25 hours during the summer holidays, including GCSE results day)

Salary:
KCC Kent Scheme C, starting at £14,873 per annum (pro rata to FTE £25,252 to £26,262)

Simon Langton Girls’ Grammar School is a highly respected selective Voluntary Controlled Girls’ Grammar School that places students’ academic success on a par with their wellbeing, creating a unique learning community where every individual matters. Students attending the school are aged between 11-18 years and the school has a student roll of about 1,300 students (with approx. 400 pupils in our mixed Sixth Form).
