Are you caring, supportive and inclusive? Can you make a difference to a child's life? We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking teaching assistant to join our dedicated team of committed staff.

 

The position is a 1:1 role working as a communicator for a child with a hearing impairment so therefore the candidate must have a qualification in BSL (British Sign Language) level 2 or above.

Palmarsh is a warm and welcoming school with a big heart The school was judged as GOOD in all areas by Ofsted in April 2025. There are currently 205 pupils on roll in 7 classes with a new school to be opened in 2028.

The school is set in extensive grounds and is well resourced, including a Forest School, Goats, Pigs, Donkeys and other superb opportunities for outside learning. We are an ambitious school who pride ourselves on our pupils’ progress and attainment. Palmarsh is located just five minutes from the centre of Hythe.
