Required ASAP –  1:1 Teaching Assistant to join the dedicated and talented team of staff at Trottiscliffe CE Primary School.

The role is for 30hrs per week, 9am-3:30pm each day, term time only. Initially for a fixed-term of one-year.

Are you a positive person who is enthusiastic and committed to helping children be the best people they can be? Are you a teaching assistant, who would relish the opportunity to develop their skills in a school which believes children are more than a set of data and who is committed to developing individuals to fulfil their potential, both for children and staff? Do you have the ability to be flexible in a range of situations and the desire to work with a small, supportive team? If so, we could be the school for you!

We would welcome applications from anyone who believes they have the potential to fulfil the role.

You need to be able to show initiative in addition to working well with colleagues, parents and professionals from other agencies.  It would also be an advantage to have NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications, or other relevant qualifications, and be willing to participate in further training when relevant to support the child’s needs. Any specific experience of ASD or ADHD would be advantageous.

We are seeking to appoint a positive, motivated, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our staff team. This role will primarily involve working 1:1 with a child in the classroom supporting learning, as well as working in the classroom and working with small groups of children. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of supporting children with barriers to learning.

We are a small school, tucked away in a beautiful village, although accessible by main roads, with a strong Anglican ethos based on key values such as respect and compassion. We have developed a challenge approach to learning, linked to high quality feedback, which creates learning resilience in our children.

Visits to the school are always welcomed, feel free to contact the school should you require further information ahead of your application.

Trottiscliffe CE Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and protection of children and so any appointment will be subject to all safeguarding checks and references, this may include online checks via social media.
