Teaching Assistant - Yr 3/4 intially

Temporary Maternity Cover - possibility to extend

The post is for 30 hours per week (8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday) term time only.

Pay details: KSB £25126

Pro rata based on working 30 hours per week 38 weeks per year £17,302.25

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, working primarily in Year 3/4. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in children’s learning and development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Support teaching and learning in a Year 3 class initially
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver high-quality learning experiences
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs
  • Help create an inclusive, nurturing and positive learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience is essential - we are looking for a TA with proven experience in KS2
  • Strong understanding of supporting pupils with SEN, especially Autism and SEMH
  • Someone patient, proactive and confident in adapting strategies to meet individual needs
  • A positive, empathetic approach and genuine commitment to helping children thrive
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
