Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring person to join our school team working initially in our Year 5 and 6 class. 

We are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant with, commitment, energy and drive to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will work closely with staff to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils and to support all learners to achieve their full potential.

The post is part-time Monday – Friday during term time 8.30am – 1pm

(22.5 hours per week)

We expect the successful candidate to:

• Be able to support the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils
• Have high expectations of learning and behaviour
• Be enthusiastic and inspire our children;
• Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with a calm manner
• Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written
• Work well as part of a team

Whist we ideally require someone with school / classroom experience - we also want the best person for the role – if you feel you have the necessary drive, ambition and willingness to learn then please either speak further to a member of the Senior Leadership or come along and discuss what you could bring to the post.

The role also includes providing pupil supervision cover for some break and lunch duties.

Visits to the school are encouraged and should be arranged through the school office.

Information about the school

We are a small village church school, at the heart of our community, set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have 79 pupils taught in four classes: Foundation and Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.

The school plays a very active role in the local and wider community and provides many opportunities for children to develop their talents and interests, whether this be in the sporting competitions we take part in or in our wide range of extra-curricular clubs.

Our staff team is small, friendly and mutually supportive, which we believe is a real strength of our school.
