We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic After School Club Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children aged 4 to 11 and wants to contribute to a safe, fun, and engaging after-school environment. You will assist the After School Club Lead in organising activities and ensuring the wellbeing of all children attending the club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the After School Club Lead in the smooth running of the club
  • Plan and organise a variety of enjoyable and educational activities for children aged 4-11
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks, promoting good nutrition
  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety and safeguarding policies at all times
  • Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and safe

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is desirable
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge or willingness to undertake training
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults alike
