Maritime Academy have an opportunity for an Attendance Improvement Coordinator to join their vibrant new academy to cover maternity leave. In this role, you'll play a vital part in promoting excellent student attendance and punctuality, helping to reduce absence levels, and ensuring our students have the best possible opportunity to succeed.  Knowledge of attendance in schools, monitoring, recording and referral processes would be beneficial.

Our Attendance Improvement Coordinator will;

  • Work with school and Trust staff, the Attendance Advisory Service and parent/carers to improve and maintain attendance and punctuality.
  • Develop and maintain initiatives to motivate pupils to achieve outstanding school attendance.
  • Work accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring attendance registers are completed accurately.
  • Be confident in liaising with parents/carers regarding attendance and punctuality matters.
