About Us
We’re a very small, friendly SEN school where everyone—staff and students alike—is known, valued, and supported. Our close-knit team works with warmth, humour, and dedication to bring out the very best in every young person. With small classes and a personalised approach, we create a calm, nurturing environment where students feel seen, understood, and able to thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role
We’re looking for an inspiring Mathematics Teacher to lead Maths across the school and teach some Science. This is a part-time role (3 days a week, ideally Monday to Wednesday), with the flexibility for the right candidate—and the potential to increase to full-time in the future.

As our Maths specialist, you will:

  • Lead and develop Maths across the school

  • Shape and deliver a creative, engaging, and accessible Maths curriculum

  • Design lessons tailored to each student’s needs

  • Teach some Science, helping students access the curriculum in a practical, engaging way

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real impact in a small, personal school environment or take the next step into subject leadership without managing a large team.

What We Offer

  • A supportive, collaborative team where your ideas and impact are valued

  • Small class sizes and a healthy work–life balance

  • Freedom to teach creatively and personalise lessons

  • Opportunities for professional development and growth

About You

  • Qualified teacher (QTS) with a specialism in Maths

  • Comfortable teaching some Science, or keen to develop in this area

  • Experience of, or genuine interest in, working with young people with additional needs

  • Creative, reflective, and able to design an inclusive curriculum

  • Positive, patient, resilient, and a team player with a sense of humour

Come and See Us
We warmly encourage visits—you’ll feel the difference as soon as you walk through the door. If you’re looking for a part-time role where you can lead Maths, contribute to Science teaching, grow with the school, and enjoy life outside work, we’d love to meet you. For the right candidate, there’s the option to increase to full-time in the future.
