About the Role

Parkview Academy is looking for a reliable and proactive Caretaker and Site Support to manage the maintenance, compliance, and health and safety of the school site. This role is key to ensuring the school environment is safe, welcoming, and well maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

The role also includes wider operational support, which may involve assisting learners and driving school vehicles as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain school buildings, grounds, and facilities to a high standard

  • Ensure health & safety and statutory compliance across the site

  • Carry out repairs, inspections, and routine maintenance tasks

  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and external services

  • Monitor cleaning standards and maintain a safe learning environment

  • Maintain compliance records and support fire and health & safety checks

  • Provide general operational and site support as required


About You

You will be practical, organised, and safety-conscious, with experience in caretaking, facilities, or site management. A good understanding of health and safety regulations, the ability to work independently, and a flexible approach are essential. A commitment to safeguarding and professionalism within an educational setting is required.
