About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and responsible individual to join our team as an Afterschool Club Supervisor. You will be responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children after school, ensuring their well-being and supporting their development through play and activities.

Hours of work are 2:45pm-6pm Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and care for children aged 7 to 11 in the afterschool setting.
  • Plan and deliver a variety of activities that are enjoyable and age-appropriate.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all children at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and school staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with safeguarding policies.
  • Plan and order healthy food and snacks.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (preferred).
  • A caring, patient, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
