Are you a passionate and dedicated primary teacher looking for a truly inspiring place to make a real difference? Leigh Academy Peninsula East is looking for a Class Teacher to join our friendly and ambitious EYFS/KS1 team from April 2026.

Leigh Academy Peninsula East is a thriving one-form entry primary school in Allhallows. We also prioritise staff well-being, with the school day finishing at 2 pm every Wednesday for dedicated bespoke training.

As an official International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, we use the IB framework to deliver the National Curriculum, linking with other IB schools and developing confident global citizens. Working with us: Leigh Academy Peninsula East is a small 1 form entry primary school in the beautiful village of Allhallows. We have at the core of our ethos the pursuit of the highest standards possible in education and we want to develop our pupils as well-rounded individuals and lifelong learners. We believe in high expectations, high aspirations, high motivation and high achievement for all. Our curriculum is tailored to each child as an individual and our pupils are highly engaged learners.

We use the framework of the International Baccalaureate to deliver the National Curriculum and we are now an official IB World school. As part of this, we are able to link with other IB schools within the UK and abroad. We focus on developing the learner profile attributes, which encompass the skills needed to ensure our children become confident and successful global citizens. We aim to build a community underpinned by international mindfulness, traditional values and social justice in which all members are equally valued. We are committed to ensuring the very best for our children in order for them to play a significant part in society and for them to be ready for secondary school and beyond.

We work closely within our community, having developed links with Haven holiday park, Slough Fort and Allhallows Church. We are also lucky to have extensive outdoor grounds as well as a Nursery provision. We are proud of our digital strategy with all of our children in Key stage 2 having access to a one to one device to further enhance their learning experiences.

In May 2024, the Academy received a rating of ‘Good‘ from Ofsted. 'Pupils feel safe. They understand how to keep physically and mentally healthy. There is an emphasis on every pupil becoming a ‘digital citizen’. Pupils have access to individual technology to support their learning. As a result, the school has prioritised pupils’ learning about how to stay safe online.'
