Hub Manager

Salary: NJC Scale S01, Points 23-28, £31,698 - £36,042

39 hours per week term time plus 5 working days in the holidays

Are you confident and empathetic, passionate about ensuring that students of all abilities achieve their best outcomes?  We are looking for an organised and efficient manager to support the work of our SEND department.  The successful candidate will oversee day to day running of The Hub managing students accessing interventions or students not in lessons who are working in The Hub.

The successful candidate will work alongside our Assistant SENCO and our Director of Inclusion, ensuring our students access appropriate support to meet their full potential.  They will lead on all Reboot programmes following alternative to exclusions (ATE) and exclusion or as a preventative before such issues.  A qualification in SEND provision is desirable though not essential as training will be given to the right candidate. Knowledge and experience of working with outside agencies would be an advantage.

Applicants should have experience working with children. Some management experience is desirable but not essential. They should have the ability to inspire others, be decisive and ensure impact. A capacity for sustained hard work is vital.

Information about the school

Homewood School and Sixth Form Centre is a mixed 11 – 18 wide ability school with Academy status with 2000 students including 350 in the Sixth Form. We are part of Tenterden Schools’ Trust working in collaboration with local primary schools and nurseries serving the Wealden town of Tenterden and the surrounding villages. The school is situated on the edge of Tenterden and enjoys a large semi-rural site overlooking open countryside. Home Farm Nursery is based in the grounds of Homewood School.

Homewood has excellent facilities for all its students and our specialisms in Performing Arts, Applied Learning and the Rural Dimension underpin our approaches to learning which are designed to raise achievement across the whole student body.
