Location:             Office base in Kent (to be agreed upon appointment) with travel across Kent as required

Contract:             Permanent, Term Time Only (39 weeks)

Hours:                 37 per week (8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30pm Friday)

(30 minutes unpaid lunch; occasional out‑of‑hours for meetings/events)

 Salary:                 £30,404 FTE (Pro rata £26,741)

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive Administrative Coordinator to provide comprehensive administrative and coordination support across the Trust. This is a pivotal role supporting our Co‑Chairs, Executive, and strategic forums - keeping governance, communication, and operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executive Support: Provide high-level administrative assistance to Co-Chairs, including diary management, correspondence, document preparation, travel/event coordination, and meeting support.
  • Governance & Planning: Monitor and update the Strategic Plan, Risk Register, and KsENT Handbook; ensure alignment with priorities and report progress.
  • Communication & Visibility: Manage social media and website presence, support marketing, and share updates with external partners.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate efficient information flow among boards and forums; track actions and manage correspondence.
  • Meetings & Events: Organise and support Trust meetings/events, including venue sourcing, agendas, logistics, and feedback.
  • Forum Administration: Provide admin support for the Leadership Forum and coordinate network group meetings.
  • Trust Systems: Administer calendars, Governor Hub, databases, panels, training, and moderation groups.
  • Recruitment & Procurement: Assist with recruitment and procurement processes.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure GDPR compliance, prepare bids, support financial processes, and maintain Companies House records.
  • Membership & Induction: Manage induction for new members and partners; prepare packs and update trust plans.
  • Continuous Improvement: Plan workload effectively, meet deadlines, and enhance administrative practices.

  • Strong administrative skills - diary management, minute‑taking, document production, and action tracking.

Kent Special Educational Needs Trust (KSENT) is the organised voice of special schools within the County of Kent. It represents all maintained (Community, Foundation and Academy) special schools, which choose to join it, and currently has 26 members representing every need type.

The vision of KSENT is to enable children and young people in Kent who have special educational needs to have access to high quality specialist provision in order to improve outcomes. KSENT has achieved considerable progress already in establishing itself as a lead organisation, raising standards through supporting other schools and engaging in research and development.
