We are looking for an IT Technician to join our IT Service department. The primary objective of this role is to deliver a high-quality support service to Turner Schools. This is principally a customer facing role predominately based at Turner Free School. Therefore, excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on quality customer service are essential.

The expected working hours will be defined in the contract, however, for guidance it will be between 8am-4pm. This role will be based at Dover Christ Church Academy and may include occasional travel to other schools in the Trust. You will form an onsite team of 2 and benefit from being part of a wider Trust IT Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems
  • Provide technical support to staff and students
  • Assist in the school's network and security systems
  • Help to implement the school's ICT strategy
  • Keep up to date with the latest ICT developments and technologies
  • Train staff and students on the use of ICT

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Preferred experience in supporting and maintaining ICT systems in an educational environment
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office 365, and Google Workspace
  • Experience with network administration and security
  • Experience with IT project management
  • Experience with training and development
