St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Whitstable are looking to recruit a Site Manager on a full-time contract (all year round), 37 hours per week.  The school would also consider part-time but please provide details within your application form such as desired working hours and days/times.

All applicants should be able to multitask in a busy primary school setting.  Every day is different in school site management, from statutory compliance testing, through to general site maintenance and security.  You will be reporting to the Area Business Manager.

Previous experience of working within a school environment is desirable, but not essential.  You will need a 'can do' attitude, as well as be organised, reliable, able to prioritise work and follow instructions.  General repairs, decorating, driving the school minibus, receiving deliveries and porterage are among some of the varied tasks of this important and valued role.  You should be able to demonstrate your understanding, knowledge and prior experience within these areas.

Whilst a level of IT is involved for recording statutory compliance and liasing with contractors via email, the majroity of the job is outside 'the office', working around the school with a pro-active approach to void problems in the future.  This is a 'hands on' job.  The majority of tasks should be completed 'in-house', where possible.  Please detail your skills set and certifications on your application form.

Please detail in your application form whether you would like full time or part time.  Ideally the hours for a full time Site Manager would be from 7am until 3.30pm (3pm on a Friday), with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break.  A split shift/job share might also be considered for the right candidate(s).

If you have any questions about the role or would like to submit an application form, please email our Area Business Manager, Jack Devine, jdevine@kcsp.org.uk
