We are seeking a conscientious, hardworking individual to maintain our school and grounds. The position is for 10 hours per week (6:30 – 8:30 Mon-Fri)

The main responsibilities of this important role are:

  • Looking after the school premises and grounds including the opening of the school.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment, undertaking emergency repairs and cleaning tasks as required.
  • Ensuring the efficient working of the heating, lighting, fire alarm and water systems within the school including regular testing and recording using Statlog.
  • Replenishing sanitary and cleaning supplies on a daily basis.
  • Assisting in maintenance of our extensive outdoor areas including our pond area.
  • Undertaking general minor repairs to ensure a safe environment is maintained.

St. Teresa's Catholic Primary School is a single form entry school, based in Ashford, and serving the Parish of St Teresa of Avila, Ashford and the local area. St Teresa’s is a successful, friendly school situated in beautiful grounds close to Ashford town centre where people feel welcomed and cared for. Over time, the school has had consistently good judgements in all inspections including in its most recent Ofsted inspection (June 2025) and denominational inspection (March 2020).

We are proud to be part of a thriving community, that is well supported by our parents and families and the local parish church. Our children are regularly involved in church life.
