Valley Invicta Academies Trust is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at our primary school at Aylesford.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience (personally or professionally) or a passion for inclusive education and supporting children with SEND to work within a collaborative team approach to provide dedicated support to a pupil with Downs Syndrome.

You will be working closely not only with the in-school team of teacher and SENCO as well as the Trust Director of SEND, but also will have a unique opportunity to work closely with a team of specialist professionals (including Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists) who will be able to provide you with bespoke training, support and strategies/ programmes that will be regularly monitored and reviewed by them to support our provision for this pupil.

This will provide wonderful opportunities for professional development for a person who is interested in pursuing a career linked to SEND and Inclusive Education.

You will be required to work 32.5 hours per week for 38 weeks per year.  The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable, have experience of working within a primary school setting, a passion for inclusive education and meeting the needs of pupils with SEND in positive and inclusive ways, and will have a calm and positive approach to working with children.
