We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic full/part-time, Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our Morehall team. Full and part time hours would be considered for this role. We offer a fantastic working environment for both staff and children, with an extensive Forest School, bespoke curriculum art room, music room, an outdoor classroom and allotments. If you have previous experience teaching classes, have a passion for working with children to ensure they fulfil their potential and unlock their talents, then this is the job for you!

The successful candidate will:  

  • Take responsibility for a class of children on a regular basis
  • Carry out the professional duties of the class teacher, following guidance from them in their absence.
  • Teach a class of pupils and ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs. 
  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the Trust, both within Morehall Primary and Nursery and the wider community. 
  • Support initiatives taken by the Trust and SLT, as well as support the class teacher in their roles and responsibilities. 
  • Be responsible for safeguarding the health and wellbeing of the pupils, actively promote the development of personal and social skills and provide emotional support in a way that accords with the pupils’ age and level of development within the stated aims of the school. 
  • Work collaboratively and constructively with colleagues within Morehall Primary and Nursery, across the Trust and in other schools, in order to drive forward standards. 
  • Have experience teaching classes of children.
