We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join ALP Schools at our Pierview Academy campus.

About the Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learners with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities. Working both one-to-one and in small groups, you will help students engage positively in their learning and development.

You may work with secondary or Post-16 learners, helping them to build good attendance, positive relationships, and a supportive routine, while fostering trust and respect within the school environment. You will also contribute to teaching and learning throughout the school.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent, term-time only role (39 or 40 weeks per year). An enhanced DBS check is required.

Essential Criteria

  • Strong understanding of special educational needs and disabilities

  • Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour, complex needs, or disabilities

  • Ability to plan and deliver support using a range of strategies

Desirable Criteria

  • Education to A-Level or equivalent and above

  • Full UK driving licence
