We are currently looking to appoint:

a) an OPAL Play Co-ordinator and

b) two Midday Supervisors

All of whom will join us as soon as possible.

The successful candidates will work with our children from Reception through to Year 6. As the roles are part-time during term time, it is ideal for those of you seeking work opportunities during school hours. We seek committed and motivated individuals to be part of our friendly, welcoming team. To be suitable for these roles, we are looking for someone with empathy, energy and enthusiasm!

Responsibilities for the OPAL Play Co-ordinator include:

· Facilitate play development.

· Ensure there are sufficient resources to promote each of the ‘play types’ as listed in the play policy.

· Check the quality and condition of resources and remove any resources that are not of a suitable condition.

· Ensure resources are stored appropriately.

· Co-ordinating appeals within school and local communities for resources.

· Sourcing OPAL resources.

· Completing loose parts equipment checks.

· Liaise with Play Curricular Leads (Head of School and Deputy Head)

The OPAL Play Co-ordinator role will be Term Time only with a full-time equivalent salary of £25,126 per annum and an actual salary of approx. £5789.

This will be 10 hours per week with the following timings -

11:30am to 250pm on Monday and 11:30am to 1:10pm on Tuesday to Friday

 

Responsibilities of the Midday Supervisor Team include:

· Putting out relevant numbers of tables/chairs and cutlery/beakers in time for mealtime and tidying up and putting them away again at the end of lunchtime

· Ensure pupils enter the dining room safely and behave appropriately when queueing for their meal, and ensure pupils have or are provided with a drink and that a sufficient amount of their meal has been eaten

· To help with spillages, cutting up food and caring for pupils’ personal needs

· Ensure plates, etc., are cleared from tables, wiped down and ensure a clean and tidy environment is maintained

· Assist in collecting pupils from collection point and escort to hall/classroom or patrol and supervise school areas used by the pupils at mealtimes

· Offer, where applicable, a first aid service during mealtime to deal with any accidents that occur safely and quickly

· Transport the food in flight cases on a trolley from the Junior Kitchen to the Infant Kitchen and return the empty flight cases to the Junior Kitchen

· One Midday Supervisor role will be from 1110am to 110pm (10 hours a week -2 hours five days a week);

· The other from 11:40 to 13:10pm (7.5 hours per week -1.5 hours per day, five days per week)

The midday supervisor roles will be Term Time only with a full-time equivalent salary of £24,513 per annum and an actual salary of approx.

£4236 for 7.5 hours role

£5648 for 10 hours role
