We are looking for a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team.
You will play a key role in supporting learners across the school by covering classes during teachers’ PPA (Planning, Preparation and Assessment) time and ECT (Early Career Teacher) release.
The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality learning experiences, maintain our positive learning environment and contribute to the life of the school community.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds HLTA status, or demonstrates an equivalent qualification and/or experience.
• Has experience delivering lessons and managing classes across Key Stages 1 and/or 2.
• Demonstrates strong classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Is flexible, proactive and works collaboratively with teaching colleagues.
• Shares our commitment to nurturing not just academic attainment, but also the attitudes of respect, resilience and positive relationships.
• Embraces our inclusive ethos, ensuring every child is valued and supported.

Information about the school

Sutton Valence Primary School is situated within a beautiful rural setting on the outskirts of Maidstone. We have plenty of lovely outdoor spaces for the children to enjoy including allotments where we grow our own produce. We even collect eggs from our very own chickens!

Sutton Valence Primary is a co-educational, one form entry, Kent Local Authority Primary School with up to 205 children, aged from 4 to 11 years. Currently we have 202 pupils on roll and we are continuing to grow.
