Position Overview

The Head of Marketing & Admissions is responsible for leading, developing, and executing the college’s marketing, branding, communications, and student recruitment strategies. This role oversees the full admissions cycle, from inquiry to enrolment, to ensure the college meets its annual recruitment targets while maintaining high standards of service and student experience. The position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience in education marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing and admissions strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals.
  • Provide high quality market intelligence, expert knowledge and data to inform the development of country strategies and to identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead the marketing and admissions team, setting clear performance goals and KPIs.

 Marketing & Branding

  • Oversee the creation of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and offline channels.
  • Manage the college's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms.
  • Supervise content creation.
  • Evaluate and optimise marketing ROI using analytics and performance data.

 Admissions Management

  • Design and manage the end-to-end admissions process.
  • Lead the team in designing, developing and implementing discrete recruitment-related projects to support the recruitment and conversion of international students.
  • Ensure that international admissions criteria are competitive in the market while maintaining quality, and that admissions decisions are made in a timely and efficient manner to enable effective conversion.

 Outreach & Relationship Building

  • Build strong relationships with agents and expand the college’s partnership network.
  • Develop effective relationships within Earlscliffe, Dukes Education and key external stakeholders.
  • Represent the college overseas and in the UK, including exhibition attendance, visits to partner schools, colleges and other key stakeholders.

 Data, Compliance & Reporting

  • Analyse recruitment data to forecast trends and inform decision-making.
  • Prepare regular reports on marketing performance, admissions progress, and recruitment targets.
  • Ensure all admissions practices comply with the college policies and regulatory guidelines.

 Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and mentor team members in both marketing and admissions functions.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Education, or related field.
  • Experience in marketing and/or admissions in an educational institution.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, brand management, and lead generation.
  • Strong understanding of the student recruitment lifecycle.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Data-driven mindset and proficiency with CRM and marketing analytics tools.

Business requirements

  • Willing to take a flexible approach to working hours when occasion demands, including evening and weekend working
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel extensively in a cost effective and timely manner, including the ability to travel internationally

 

Information about the school

Earlscliffe was founded as an independent boarding school for international students in 2012 and is part of the Dukes Education group.

We currently have students from more than 30 countries across the world.

We offer a two-year A-level programme in traditional subjects together with One Year GCSE and Pre-A courses.

In September 2026, the school will be launching BTEC Extended Diplomas in Business and Sport.
