Beyond the Bell – After School Club Assistants

Riverhead Infants’ School, Sevenoaks

Hours: 3:00pm – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
(There is flexibility to work fewer days per week, subject to discussion)
Contract: Part-time, fixed hours
Start date: Immediate (subject to pre-employment checks)
Salary: KSA - pro-rated to 15hrs pw during term time.

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic, caring and reliable individuals to join our friendly Beyond the Bell wraparound care team at Riverhead Infants’ School.

The successful candidates will help to create a warm, safe and engaging environment for our children at the end of their school day. Duties will include:

  • Helping to set up and clear away after-school activities.

  • Supporting the provision of food and refreshments for the children.

  • Supervising and interacting positively with the children during play and activities.

  • Communicating professionally and warmly with parents and carers.

The ideal candidate(s) will:

  • Be lively and outgoing, with a genuine enjoyment of working with children.

  • Communicate effectively with both children and adults.

  • Be confident in establishing professional boundaries and guiding children’s behaviour in line with our Beyond the Bell expectations.

  • Demonstrate patience, care and a nurturing attitude.

  • Work well as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

  • Possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to get ‘stuck in’.

Experience of working with children in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential. We are also happy to consider applications from students or school leavers who are keen to gain experience in an education or childcare setting.

Riverhead is a three form intake infant school on the outskirts of the town of Sevenoaks. Our eco-friendly sedum-roofed building is set in beautiful grounds enabling our pupils to enjoy their learning both indoors and out.
