Swalecliffe Community Primary School currently has a fantastic opportunity to appoint a School Administrator to start in January. We seek committed and motivated individuals to be part of our friendly, welcoming team. The principal responsibility will be to provide general administrative and clerical support under the Leadership Team to champion and improve Attendance, and support with a range of other administrative and personnel matters as required.

For this position, you will need exceptional organisational skills to manage your tasks in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office applications are required. You must be able to work well as part of a team and also be able to use your own initiative.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have the following:

  • Office administration experience
  • Good Excel and Word skills
  • Cope well under pressure
  • You have a flexible approach to work and a ‘can do’ attitude
  • You enjoy working as part of a team, and you are happy to get stuck in and support your colleagues
  • Ability to nurture a good working relationship with others
  • Able to work in a constructive partnership with parents both on the phone and when they come to the school office
  • Able to work unsupervised and use your initiative
  • Have good verbal communication skills
  • Have good time management  and prioritising skills
  • Willingness to undertake or already have first aid training
  • Ideally, experience as an attendance officer

Hours 08:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday Term Time only, 37 hours per week
