The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic PSHE Teacher, ideal for Early Career Teachers or experienced teachers looking to broaden their experience. The postholder will:

  • Lead the teaching and learning of PSHE for learners aged 11+

  • Deliver lessons covering relationships, mental health, citizenship, careers, and well-being across secondary and post-16 students

  • Develop differentiated lesson plans and schemes of work aligned with the school curriculum

  • Assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback, and support preparation for relevant accreditation

  • Guide, mentor, and inspire Tutors and LSAs, promoting professional development

  • Contribute to pastoral care, liaising with parents and carers, and supporting pupils’ personal and social development

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Degree-level qualification in English or PSHE, with at least Level 2 Maths

  • Knowledge of SEND and ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse learner needs

  • Experience working with young people with complex needs or challenging behaviour

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills

  • Enthusiastic, flexible, and solution-focused approach

Desirable: Experience managing or mentoring staff, or addressing social exclusion
