We are seeking a friendly, organised, and efficient Office Secretary to join our supportive team. This pivotal role is essential in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the school by providing an excellent reception service and managing key administrative tasks associated with attendance. The role is part-time, Monday to Friday, 8:15am-2:15pm, term time only (+5 staff training days)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a welcoming and professional reception service to pupils, parents, staff, and visitors
  • Manage the recording, monitoring, and reporting of pupil attendance accurately and promptly
  • Support the smooth operation of school office procedures and communications
  • Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Experience in administrative duties in an office environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in using IT systems and office software
  • A friendly and approachable manner, with a commitment to supporting a positive school environment

Desirable Qualities

  • Previous experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Experience using Arbor management information system
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to school life beyond the core role
