We are looking for a friendly, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.  The successful applicant will work with pupils and provide assistance to teachers through supporting the teaching and learning, providing general and specific assistance under the guidance and direct supervision of class teachers. 

The successful candidate will spend a significant amount of time working on a 1:1 basis, as well as  small group work with children.  A good working knowledge of the Primary Curriculum would be and advantage. 

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• minimum of Level 2 Diploma (or equivalent)
• strong mathematics and english
• excellent communication skills
• an ability to work as part of a team
• commitment to helping every child reach their full potential
• the ability to establish good working relationships with children, staff and parents
• a positive and flexible approach
• support for our mission and vision

The position will be for 20 hours per week, term time only plus five addtional non contact days. This is a temporary contract initially for a year.
