Contract Type: Fixed Term until 31/08/2026

Hours: 32.5 per week (8.30am - 3.30pm)

Weeks: 38 (Term Time only)

Grade:  Medway NJC D2 point 4-11 (Dependent on experience)

Salary: D2 Point 4-11 (Dependent on Experience) - £18,497-£20,669 actual pro-rated pay (£25,185-£28,142 FTE)

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, positive and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and nurturing school community. This term-time role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities, and committed to helping every child enjoy, achieve and succeed.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work closely with small groups of children, providing targeted support and interventions.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalised learning activities.
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, helping them to access the curriculum and develop key skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to monitor progress and adapt support as needed.

  • Be able to motivate and inspire children, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential;
  • Use specialist skills, training or experience to deliver targeted interventions and personalised support;
  • Be committed to the school's high standards of teaching, learning and pastoral care;
  • Demonstrate strong literacy and numeracy skills to effectively support learning across the curriculum.
