We are seeking to appoint a suitably skilled, part-time Caretaker to work alongside the school’s Site Manager. The role is to support the Site Manager and Senior Leadership Team to keep the school environment a safe and welcoming place to learn.

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, flexible and be able to work well in a team. They will have good communication skills and a secure understanding of the health and safety requirements of public buildings.

This is a permanent contract for 20 hours a week. The hours are Monday to Friday 6am - 10am (possible weekend with in lieu of weekday hours).

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Kennington CE Academy is 3 form entry (12 classes) for Key stage 2 of 360 pupils, situated in North Ashford and serving a mixed community of children who are enthusiastic about learning and their school.

We have strong relationships with our feeder Infant school, Downs View and The Towers, our nearest high school. Our church school status has led us to develop close links with the local parish church. We are sponsored by Aquila, the Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust (www.aquilatrust.co.uk)
