We are looking to recruit a part-time Individual Needs Assistant to work in our Reception class, supporting a pupil as they transition into primary school. The role involves supporting an individual child with their learning and developmental needs in class. 

The role is currently afternoons only (1 pm-3.30 pm), but there may be a need to change to mornings if the needs change. The vacancy is for an immediate start. 

Hours of work: 1.00 pm- 3.30 pm Monday to Friday (term time only, including INSET days), 12.50 hours per week.

The role has come about because of additional funding and is therefore fixed-term until either the end of the academic year or until funding ceases.

Groombridge St Thomas is just under a one-form entry primary school situated just inside East Sussex, on the Kent/East Sussex border, and a few miles from Tunbridge Wells. We work in collaboration with other small schools as part of the Pioneer Federation. As part of the Federation, we have a joint curriculum, joint planning, and CPD together. This enables our teachers to focus on providing excellent teaching and learning in the classroom.
