Are you passionate about inclusion and ready to make a meaningful impact? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced SENCo to join our Leadership Team and work alongside our Lead SENCo to champion inclusive practice across the school. This is a unique opportunity to help shape provision, support staff, and navigate the evolving landscape of SEND funding in Kent.

This role is rooted in our Christian vision, inspired by Isaiah 35:1 'The Wilderness shall rejoice, and shall flourish like the lily.' The successful candidate will help ensure that all of God's children flourish through inclusive, compassionate, and purposeful SEND provision.

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Have significant experience in developing inclusive classrooms and inclusive practice.
  • Be confident in supporting staff to differentiate and adapt provision to meet a range of needs.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in preparing schools for the new Ofsted inspection framework.
  • Be passionate about building positive relationships with pupils with SEND, particularly those with SEMH needs.
  • Be proactive in supporting the effective deployment of additional adults to improve pupil outcomes.
  • Be knowledgeable about the new Kent SEND funding model and able to support strategic planning and implementation.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it).
  • Be a trained Mental Health Lead (or willing to undertake the DfE funded training as part of the role).
  • Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in line with KCSIE 2025.

We Can Offer You:

  • A school culture rooted in collaboration, inclusion, and high expectations.
  • A supportive Leadership Team committed to continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Opportunities to work closely with our Lead SENCo and wider SLT on strategic SEND priorities.
  • A chance to make a real difference in a school that values every child's right to succeed in their own way.
  • Access to high-quality CPD and leadership development.
  • A warm, welcoming community with a strong sense of purpose.
