Pre-school Teaching Assistant/Practitioner 

The post is for 32.5 hours per week (8:30 – 3:30 Monday to Friday) term time only.

Are you passionate about early childhood education? Do you love creating magical learning moments for pre-school children? We’re looking for a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated Preschool Teaching Assistant/Practitioner to join our nurturing team.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Contributing to planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Supporting children’s emotional, social and educational development
  • Building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and stimulating environment

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children
  • A caring, creative and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A paediatric first aid cerficate

Information about the school

Our school has been part of the Veritas Multi Academy Trust since May 2018. Ofsted report September 2022 rates our school as GOOD with an OUTSTANDING Early Years. Our irresistible curriculum and inclusive ethos ensures that all children achieve their potential.

The school is situated in the beautiful city of Canterbury, benefitting from many excellent cultural opportunities. We have wonderful grounds, including a forest school. Learning outside the classroom is a school priority.

We are on an exciting journey to rebuild our school and are working with the Department for Education on a new build project. We will be moving into our new building in January, 2026.
