TEACHING ASSISTANT 

(Initially fixed term to 17 July 2026 may become permanent.  working hours 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time plus INSETS).

We are looking for a vibrant and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team – someone who brings enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children every single day. The ideal candidate will put pupils at the heart of everything they do, supporting their learning, well-being, and personal development in a nurturing and engaging environment. Whether it's assisting in the classroom, leading small group activities, or providing one-on-one support, you’ll be a positive role model who inspires, motivates, and helps every child to thrive. This role is initially fixed term to 17 July 2025, 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus insets (39 weeks per year).


Role purpose: To support the teaching staff in securing high quality learning, raising standards and having a positive impact on pupils’ learning experience. To work under the guidance of the teaching staff to support pupils on a 1-1 basis, support learning activities, maintain pupil records and promote pupils’ social and emotional development.

The Trust comprises of Skinners’ Kent Academy and Skinners’ Kent Primary School.

The Academy opened on September 1st 2009. It is an independent, non fee-paying, mixed, all ability school, funded by the DfE and supported fully by its lead sponsor The Skinners’ School, a grammar school for boys and the Skinners’ Company. The Skinners’ Kent Academy Trust is founded on the principles of a culture of high standards and high aspirations, a culture of active participation, an emotionally rich learning environment and an inclusive environment where every child is known and every learner supported.
