Inspiring change, unlocking potential – join us in transforming lives at Haven Nook School.

Haven Nook School is a small, independent special school in the heart of Canterbury, where every young person is seen, supported, and celebrated. We remove barriers to learning for students aged 11–18 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, empowering them to rediscover their love for life and learning.

As a values-led community built on compassion, aspiration, and trust, we are proud to create an environment where both pupils and staff can grow, flourish, and truly belong.

We are at a hugely exciting stage of growth for Haven Nook, and we are looking for an inspirational and forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher SENDCo to join our senior leadership team and help shape the future of our school.

This is a unique opportunity for a passionate SEND leader to make a tangible difference in a nurturing, innovative setting. You’ll take strategic responsibility for SEND provision, lead with courage and creativity, and champion inclusive practice across the school. If you’re motivated by transforming outcomes, fostering potential, and leading with heart, we’d love to hear from you.
