Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning)

At Haven Nook School, part of the Tuition Extra Group, we’re on a mission to transform lives by igniting a passion for life and learning. As a small, independent school for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, we combine compassion and creativity to remove barriers and reimagine what’s possible in education.

We’re now looking for an inspiring and forward-thinking Assistant Headteacher (Teaching & Learning) to join our senior leadership team. This is a rare opportunity to shape a learning environment where innovation, nurture and aspiration meet, ensuring every pupil can realise their unique potential and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

As Assistant Headteacher, you’ll lead the vision for high-impact teaching and learning across the school: empowering staff, embedding evidence-based practice, and cultivating an inclusive, high-expectations culture.

You’ll model brave, reflective leadership and champion creativity, wellbeing and professional growth.

In return, you’ll join a values-led team that dares to think differently, supported by small class sizes, a warm and collaborative ethos, and genuine opportunities to innovate and grow.

If you’re ready to make an enduring difference in the lives of young people, we’d love to hear from you.
