Are you a teacher with at least two years' experience of working in either a primary mainstream setting with high levels of SEN or a specialist provision?  We are looking for a teacher to come and join our SRP (Specialist Resource Provision) for children with autism until July 2026.  This is a temporary post. It is not suitable for ECTs.

The Phoenix Centre is part of Cage Green Primary school and is a specialist resource provision for children with autisic spectrum condition. There are currently 17 children in the provision who work with two teachers and a team of TAs.  We are looking for a teacher who will take a strong role in taking the children's learning forwards, celebrating their strengths and achievements and supporting them to understand and manage their needs.  Strong behaviour management is essential as is a good sense of humour and the abilty to work with flexibilty to meet children's needs.  The children in the Centre range across KS2 with the two classes grouped by stage rather than age.

There is a TLR available for the right candidate who could take a lead in the management of the Phoenix Centre.

The Centre is two clases at Cage Green, a one form entry primary school located in North Tonbridge.  The staff are noisy, enthusiastic and have a strong drive to change the life chances of children.  One of our children said to an Ofsted inspector, "I love Cage Green and I know that Cage Green loves me," which sums us up very well.

If you think that you might be the right person for this job, please phone the school on 01732 354325 for a chat with the Headteacher, Joanna Styles,  who can talk to you more about the role and the school.  Visits to the school are VERY strongly encouraged.
