About the Role:

Hours - 5 days a week - Monday to Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm - Term Time Only

This is a fixed term contract until July 31st 2026.

Requirements:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children aged 0–5. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.

The Nursery is an integral part of the school and the majority of our Nursery children transfer to the school's Reception classes.

You must have a child centred approach and recognise the importance of a stimulating environment, whilst maintaining high expectations of learning and behaviour. We serve a wide catchment area and have children with a range of needs including SEN and EAL. Experience in these areas is preferred. 

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A warm, caring, and enthusiastic approach.

Information about the school

We are very proud of our wonderful school which was judged as good with outstanding features. Our most recent Ofsted inspection was in October 2022.

We have 15 classes including our maintained Nursery. A set of Core Values underpin all that we do which ensure high expectations of both learning and behaviour. They are; Equality, Responsibility, Respect, Resilience and Challenge. Our inclusive school is based on a large, well resourced site just outside Maidstone town centre. Our excellent facilities include a library and extensive outdoor learning areas.
