Breakfast Club Supervisor

We are seeking to recruit a new Breakfast Club Supervisor to lead our popular Breakfast Club. This is an important and valued part of school provision which provides a vital service to our children and families.

Duties will include welcoming children, maintaining accurate registers, working with the Finance Officer and Business Manager to ensure parent accounts are accurate, allocation of places and management of the waiting list as well as ensuring food preparation meets expected standards.

You will be responsible for leading the team of assistants who work with you to assist in looking after children, making sure they receive a healthy breakfast and to provide recreational activities. Together the Breakfast Club team support children, responding to their needs so that they have a positive start to their day and are ready to join their classes as the school day begins.

7 hours per week term time only [38 weeks]

This includes the daily Breakfast Club session 7.45am (children in from 8.00am) to 9.00am (children leave at 8.45am) (6.25 hours) and 3 hours for preparation, administration and ordering of provisions. The salary is based on Kent Range 4, £21389, full-time equivalent.

Desirable qualifications: Level 2 certificate in Food Safety and First Aid. The school will provide access to training on appointment if these qualifications are not held.

The school roll is approximately 400 with children organised into fourteen mixed ability classes. We also have a Specialist Resource Provision class for 12 children with speech and/or language impairments. These children spend much time each day in their mainstream class with their peers.
