Would you like to make a difference to your community?

If so, being a Governor at Platt CE Primary School could be just the role for you.

We are a small school with a friendly, caring staff and an equally dedicated group of volunteers making up our governing body. We all work together to ensure that every child in our school is happy and safe, and to offer them every opportunity to learn and to succeed.

You don’t need to have experience in education to be a school governor as we provide full training. We welcome interest from all walks of life to bring different perspectives and views.

If you want to know more about the role, please contact the Clerk to the Governing Body.

Information about the school

We are a one form entry community church of England school made up of approximately 170 kind, motivated and excited learners.

Our vision is based on the parable of the mustard seed in that we aim for all children to grow, flourish and be responsible and reflective individuals. The staff at our school are valued and are expected to embrace our Christian vision and the values of Care – Learn – Forgive. Our children are confident and proud of their school and belonging to it. We believe education should not only equip children academically and emotionally but provide memories and shape our children to live 'life in all its fullness' (John 10:10).

Our school successfully completed a SIAMs inspection in July 2023 and an Ofsted inspection in October 2024.
